Born on 14 January 2000 in Toropus village, Yandamani tribe, Lower Lie Constituency, Wapenamanda District, he is the eldest son of Thomas (from the Kana tribe of Lower Lie, Wapenamanda) and his wife from Lakui village near Wabag. His father, an Adventist missionary, has dedicated much of his life to ministry, which shaped the family’s early movements. In 2002, when Gibson was a toddler, the family relocated to Aipinimanda Village in Wabag Rural, Enga Province, following his father’s mission posting.
