PNG Agro SME Incorporation Ltd is a 100% locally owned and operated Papua New Guinean company. We are proud to be run by Papua New Guineans, for Papua New Guineans – especially our people in the local villages in both rural and urban, towns, districts and provinces who want to turn their hard work in the soil, forests, and rivers into real money for their families.
We started with one simple dream: to help everyday Papua New Guineans – farmers, mothers selling at the market(Informal Vendors), young people with ideas, and small groups – move from “just surviving” to building proper, strong small and medium businesses (SMEs). We focus especially on agriculture, forestry, Informal Vendors, and fisheries because these are the backbone of our country’s economy and the daily life of most of our people.
Who We Are?
We are a business consulting company based in Wabag, Enga Province, with our new head office officially opened in May 2026. We are an active partner of PNG No.1 SME Limited. Our team travels to villages, sits down with people under the trees or with community, and explains everything in simple, clear language that everyone can understand. We don’t just give advice and leave – we walk with you from the beginning to the end with hands-on support.

What We Do (Our Services).
We help turn informal activities (backyard gardens, roadside selling, small fishing, or forest products) into registered, legal, and growing businesses so that Banks and government can aware.
Here is what we offer:
- Business Registration: We help you register your company, cooperative, or community association properly with the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) and Internal Revenue Commission (IRC). This makes your business “real” so banks, government programs, and big buyers can trust and work with you very easily.
- Business Planning & Documents: We prepare simple business plans, market research, financial forecasts, loan proposals, and grant applications professionally so that your registered business can acquire funds from Government Agencies, NGO's, Banks etc... .
- Training & Capacity Building: We teach financial discipline, record-keeping, marketing, how to find better markets, and how to grow sustainably making sure to help executives, Directors and SME owners keep up to date of their business progress status day-in-day-out.
- Loan & Funding Assistance: We guide you on how to apply for loans or government SME support so that your business can be maintained using grants obtained as Loan/Assistance. We can hands on to prepare your Loan Documents such as Application, Cash Flow and Everything in order so that your Loan/Assistance application handling can be fast without delays.
- Ongoing Support: We stay with you – reviewing ideas, attending meetings, solving problems, and celebrating successes. We can be always available till let you grow and do gained and have your potential to work on your own.
- Community & Association Support: Especially for groups wanting to work together on bigger projects. We will be there to hands on support with the needed advise and ideas to hold you on track so that everything keeps moving on way it supposed to.
We often provide free or low-cost services to startups and people who really need help.
Our Journey and Impact – Real Stories from Start to End.
Since around 2022, we have been very active, especially in Enga Province (Wabag, Laiagam- Porgera Wapenamanda, and Kompiam districts). We have helped hundreds of individuals, families, Association and groups.
From backyard to business – typical journey we support:
- Start: A farmer or mother has extra kaukau, coffee, cocoa, vegetables, or fish but sells informally and earns little.
- We Step In: We visit the village, explain the benefits of formalizing, and help form a small group like Association , Business Groups or register individually like SME, Company, etc...
- Registration: We handle ALL paperwork so they get an official certificate.
- Bank Account Opening: We are making sure everyone (Individuals, Business Owners and Association etc....) must have their personal or business account as needed.
- Training: Teach simple bookkeeping, how to save money, and improve production.
- Growth: Help write proposals for loans or grants, find better buyers (e.g., for coffee or fresh produce), and add value (e.g., packaging or processing).
- Success: The business now earns steady income, creates jobs for family and community, accesses markets, and builds pride and independence.
Proud examples of our work:
- Guided many over 10 local associations and community groups to register properly so they can receive support and create jobs.
- Empowered women, youth, and families in agro businesses like coffee, cocoa, fresh produce, and value-added products.
- Supported people even in tough times – for example, we went to landslide-affected areas like Mulitaka in Laiagap Porgera District to offer rapid assessments and help.
We have worked hands-on in villages, not just from an office. People tell us they appreciate that we speak their language, keep things simple, and deliver real results – one registration, one training, one empowered person at a time so that they can remember everything and utilize everything imparted in practical business life.
Our New Head Office (2026)
In May 2026, we proudly opened our new head office in Wabag with a big ribbon-cutting ceremony. Many local business people, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and partners came to celebrate.
